I forgot to mention that I watched "The Fountain" over my vacation. I loved Darren's "Pi" and "Requiem for a Dream", so I was looking forward to this film. Visually, it's absolutely stunning - it has some of the best camera work I've ever seen in movies. The storyline...well, it's not that it's bad, but don't watch the movie expecting to get a clear vision of what the movie is all about. But that's OK, because I think the movie is designed to let the viewer come up with their own interpretation of Darren's story. Overall, I really enjoyed this movie, and an unexpected surprise was the end credits. Something about the color and the shape of the text, the slow fade-in of the star scene, and the music playing in the background...it was a somber, yet appropriate ending.
