You Can't Be President If You Don't Have Christ in Your Heart...Um, Bush Really Didn't Say That, Did
Judge for yourself (I really hope this article is a joke, but I doubt it). Here's a quote:
"I fully understand that the job of the president is and must always be protecting the great right of people to worship or not worship as they see fit," Mr. Bush said. "That's what distinguishes us from the Taliban. The greatest freedom we have or one of the greatest freedoms is the right to worship the way you see fit. On the other hand, I don't see how you can be president at least from my perspective, how you can be president, without a relationship with the Lord."
So, an athiest cannot fulfill the duties of the presidency? A Buddist is incapable of leading this country? A Muslim cannot sit in the White House? Why oh why oh why oh why oh why oh why oh why oh why oh why did America pick him for another four years?
I think I'm going to sit in a room somewhere and just scream for hours on end. It won't solve anything, but it'll feel good.
And if I hear the phrase, "war on terror," come out of Bush's mouth one more time, I'm going to stick long needles in my ear canals until I damage my eardrums so bad I turn deaf.
It's going to be a dark, dark four years.
