Over The Weekend
On Friday night, I went to a Halo2 LAN party. I had a good time (as this picture shows along with this one (it needs no explanation), although this one has the "what-the-hell-do-you-want-right-now?!?" look) - overall, the players were pretty much equal except for the host's son. He was a complete ringer - he easily had twice the kills of anyone else in any game. It made it a bit frustrating at times, but as I've said many times, shoot-em-up games are not my forte; racing games are. So I took it in stride and just had fun.
Saturday I went to get a massage and petticure (yes, you read that right) at Cole's Salon. Liz got me this package as a holiday present, and yesterday she had her baby shower, so I figured I'd go and relax for the afternoon. It was a lot of fun to just relax and have someone work out all the kinks in my muscles. The woman who gave me a petticure convinced me to get one of my toenails painted with a baby's footprint - here's a picture of the artwork:
It won't be staying on for long, although Liz got a kick out of it.
Today, I'm going to ignore the Super Bowl hype by going to work out later and play some XBox tonight.
For the next week, I'll be concentrating on getting a presentation I'm doing on internationalization in .NET on the 15th at the Microsoft office in Bloomington. I also want to start work on a project in .NET 2.0 that I think will be challenging to do (at least for me it will!). The delivery date is coming up very fast, so I want to concentrate on my todo list before the list becomes a "what-do-I-need-todo-right-now" list.
