"The Black Rood"
I finished this book a couple of nights ago. Frankly, it felt like it was the same thing as "The Iron Lance": somebody from Europe goes to the Holy Land, deals with political intrigue and war, finds a holy relic, blah, blah, blah. Lawhead writes well, but I was getting bored with the storyline near the end. I think it's due to the fact that all of the books in this trilogy deal with religious relics in a very mystical sense and I find it hard to relate to that. I'll still read the last book because I still like the way Lawhead writes, but hopefully it's not the same rehashed storyline.
Next up is "Resolution" - I'm really looking forward to finishing that trilogy up (in a good way :) ).
