Professional .NET Framework 2.0
I finished reading Duffy's "Professional .NET Framework 2.0" book this weekend. Overall, it's a good book and the material is solid. I feel like the first 4 chapters and the chapter on threading are the high points of the book. However, it also veers off into directions that I thought were kind of odd. A whole chapter on regular expressions? Also, some of the chapters near the end (e.g the dynamic programming and transaction chapters) gloss over the material and don't dive as deep as I felt he could have. Overall, if you're relatively new to .NET, this is a book you should strongly consider adding to your bookshelf. I really likek Joe's blog and I'm hoping his conncurrent programming book fares just as well as the content he writes online.
