"The Pursuit of Happyness"
Liz and I watched this movie last night. I really enjoyed it, but it also drove me nuts. I felt very tense at times, because Will's character is trying so hard to make a better life for him and his son, and as soon as things get a little better, they seem to get worse. The payoff is at the end, though. It's not a spoiler to know that he finally gets the job, but there was a definite tension release at the end when he finds out. I think being a parent made me appreciate this movie so much, because it's way too easy to whine and complain about things. Seeing this movie made me realize that I am extremely fortunate to have the career and family that I do. Not that I didn't know that before, but it's nice to get a little reminder now and again.
I definitely recommend seeing this movie. I think Will Smith is an under-appreciated actor. He did a great job in this movie.
