I didn't want to say anything about this until everything was official (which happened late last week). I was promoted to Principal Consultant at Magenic. Yeah, it's a bit ego-inflating to post this bit of information, but that was what I was focused on for the past year: to get that promotion.
Now things are interesting because I've basically hit the highest title I can have as a consultant at Magenic. That doesn't mean I no longer have any motivation with my career. Nor does it mean I've suddenly been thrown into an ivory tower to spew archiecture mantras from on high. In my mind the title change means I am pretty committed to the company I work for. I mean, hell, why would I spend nearly 7 years of my life with the same employer if I didn't like it?
