"24": Day 6, First Four Hours
Warning: Spoilers ahead!
Wow. Jack gets back from China (we all knew that), and within four hours he kills Curtis? Holy crap! Of course, he had to do it to save Assad, but...wow.
And they actually detonate a nuclear weapon (albeit a small one) in a major city (although it wasn't downtown LA)? Yikes.
I don't by Palmer as president, though. That seems like a big stretch to me.
I have to admit, though, that "24" requires the viewer to suspend disbelief - a lot of disbelief. If you actually follow all the action that's been going on for the past 5 seasons, the US has been getting its ass kicked locally. Poisonous gases, thermonuclear weapons (although that one was in the desert so no significant loss of life), nuclear plant meltdowns...I don't know, by this time, I think the US in "24" would be in a lot worse shape than what they make it out to be. But it's TV, and for some reason "24" is still fun to watch.
