"Traveling Music", by Neil Peart
I finished this book this past weekend. At first, I didn't know where Neil was going with it. The first chapter seemed jam-packed with concepts and statements, almost too jam-packed. After the second chapter kicked in, though, the book got into a fairly good grove, with Peart discussing his musical influences and how he grew up as a fan of other musicians. I still like his "Masked Rider" book the best out of all the books he's written, but "Roadshows" seems like a strong book (that's just a feeling I got from a cursory glance, though). I'm currently on "The Darkness That Comes Before" so it'll be a while before I tackle "Roadshows".
