"Death By Black Hole"
I finished this book
yesterday. Wonderful - absolutely loved it. This is a collection of articles Tyson
wrote over the years on all things astronomy-based and they're at a very high level, so it's perfect for someone who's interested in astronomy but doesn't know where to start. Tyson covers star formation (and death), black holes (of course), and some philosophy at the end. I wish the book has some illustrations here and there (for example, the material on Lagrange points would've been easier to follow with figures) but that's a minor quibble. Overall, it's solid and I definitely recommend it.
