Swearing on TV
Before I jumped on XBox Live last night, I noticed that ABC was showing "Saving Private Ryan" uncut. Therefore, you got all the violence and f-bombs (no pun intended) that were in the theatrical release. This suprised me because it's not often you hear the word "fuck" on TV. I've read a bit more about this special running of the movie so I get why it was done this way, but the more I thought about it, I wondered why TV is censored the way it is. I mean, who's to say that "fuck" is worse that "darn it"? I realize that kids can be watching the TV but then parents should be more judicious about what their kids watch as well.
