I finished this book last night. Basically, it’s about three people who are really screwed up and through a clerical mistake, their lives become interwoven. Tragedy follows.
It’s a great read. I saw the movie before I read the book, and there are small but important deviations, especially at the end. I won’t ruin it for you, but the book seems to treat its characters harder than the movie did. I had a hard time putting the book down, even though I knew how the story went. Dubus is a great author and I plan on reading his other works in the future.
