I finished this book as I was waiting to pick up my sister from the airport Friday afternoon. It’s my first read of Anderson, and … well, I was really disappointed. I heard he was a great sci-fi writer, but this book doesn’t show it. It’s all over the place. I had no feelings for any of the characters, good or bad or anywhere in between. When I finished the book, I felt like a small weight had been lifted - it just wasn’t a fun read. Maybe I’ll give Anderson another try in the future, but I think I picked the wrong book of his to get an introduction to his writing style.
