While I’m very thrilled that we’re having a second child, I have to admit that when we found out we were having a boy, I was a little sad. I’ve always wanted a daughter, and since Liz and I decided to only have 2 kids, we’re done after Ryan is born. I didn’t want to admit that I was a bit disappointed, but Liz told me she could see it when the doctor told us. Am I unhappy that we’re having another boy? Not in the slightest. After all the troubles we went through to have kids, I’m excited to have another one. But it feels better to say that, yes, I was really hoping for a girl this time around, and that’s not the way things turned out. At the end of the day, I’m going to have two awesome sons and I can’t wait until they both try to tackle their daddy during a game of football.
